Mastering The Interview - Learning How To S.W.E.A.R.
How long should you speak when answering an interview question?
Knowing how to answer a question is as important as the question being asked. Most candidates fall into two categories: those from whom getting answers of more than one word is like pulling teeth and those who ramble on for several minutes to make sure they don't miss anything. Some go on so long that the hiring manager starts checking e-mail and has forgotten which question was asked.
There actually is an appropriate amount of time to speak when answering a question. That is just one of the many issues this webinar will address in great detail. Here are some other issues that you need to know:
- There are only three types of questions an interviewer can ask. Knowing which type will determine how you answer the question. Not knowing the type of question will cause you to ramble and maybe never answer the question.
- We will give you the universal answer to all questions. Really there is a universal answer to all questions.
- We will give you the proper technique to re-engage the interviewer so you have some control over the interview.
- What to do when you don't know the answer or aren't prepared to answer the question.
- What is the correct answer to "Tell me about yourself?"
And as an added benefit we will give you the single most important question to ask in every interview!
If you don't ask this one question you will never know if you will be successful in the position.
It is that critical a question.
It doesn't matter what we say about our webinars. You would expect us to brag about them, but those who have attended them have no reason to brag.
So here is what they say about this webinar.
Wayne Costello, Los Angeles, CA "I've been through outplacement and never was any of this stuff discussed. They just gave me the generic information on interviewing they give everyone. This was specific, refreshing and informative. Your approach using SWEAR is the best and simplest way to answer a question I have heard."
Diane Sommers, Orange County, CA "Learning to SWEAR in the interview is the best acronym for how to answer a question I have heard. There is so much in this webinar I bought the slides and audio. I learn something new every time I review them. This should be called advanced interviewing, because that is what it really is."
Jonathan Becworth, Austin, TX "Just asking the most important question has kept me from accepting a position that I was about to accept. After I asked it, I realized immediately there was no way anyone would succeed in this position. This webinar saved me from more turnover on my resume. That one question alone is worth the price of admission."
Joan Riggs, London, England "I was getting interviews and then nothing. A friend of mine in the US suggested I listen to this webinar. I now take some control during the interview. Most importantly I come across with more confidence when I answer the questions. Lack of confidence was coming through to the interviewer, by engaging them the way this webinar taught we are now solving their problem right in the interview. My friend was right."
We could list many more testimonials but you get the idea. This is not interviewing 101. It is about teaching you how to display confidence, engage the interviewer, showing you the right way to answer questions and follow-up, and giving you the right questions to ask so you don't accept a position you shouldn't.
Don't have another interview unless you're sure to beat your competition. Let us give you the edge you need.
We've put together a set of additional learning tools to reinforce the webinar. Studies show that you'll forget 90% of the information taught in a webinar within 48 hours.
