Traditional Job Descriptions Are Worthless

For hiring purposes, traditional job descriptions don't define the real job!
|
Does this look like your job descriptions:
Minimum years of experience.
Required minimum education.
List of minimum skills and experience required.
List of duties, tasks and responsibilities for the position.
Some minimum type of knowledge (e.g. programming language, ability to drive a truck).
List of behavioral traits (e.g. team player, self-motivated, high energy, good communications, strong leader, strong work ethic).
Ability to do certain tasks (e.g. travel, lift 50 pounds, work after 7 PM, climb a ladder).
Finally, other duties as assigned. |
Your job descriptions may have some additional points, but this is probably close.
Take a good look at what this is defining. It is defining a person more than a job and it is defining the minimum standards for that person.
DO YOU REALLY WANT TO HIRE THE LEAST
QUALIFIED?
|
If you want to hire successful people you have to first define
success. This webinar will show you how to define success
and then use that definition for:
hiring successful people, NOT the least qualified.
sourcing top talent.
performance management.
bringing the new candidate on board.
compensation.
reference checking.
