Welcome to our first blog post for the Vistage Chair Blog on how to LEVERAGE social media and social networking to find, acquire, and develop relationships with potential members for your group.
This blog represents an extension of the work Barry Deutsch of IMPACT Hiring Solutions has done with his LIVE Chair Training Program, where he has taught his program on Acquiring Members for Vistage Groups to hundreds of Chairs in both their Chair Group Meetings and at the Vistage International Conferences. A lot of this material also comes from working closely with a variety of Vistage Executives and Chairs in helping to formulate and refine the Vistage Chair Interview Process.
We'll review some of the very best articles on the Internet you should be aware of as you go forward in attempting to leverage social media and social recruiting. We'll feature some of the very best Vistage resources, especially other speakers, who have volunteered to share their expert knowledge on leveraging the increasing wave of the social Web. My Partner, Brad Remillard, will also jump in here occasionally and offer his thoughts from the front lines of social media and networking. Finally, we'll post our own original content on best practices in attracting members for your group.
We hope you find the information in this blog valuable and practical as you develop and build your groups.
Feel free to post a comment, offer a suggestion, raise a question for our experts.
